Digital Universe Atlas Guide
Brian Abbott of the American Museum of Natural History created a series of guides to explain the Digital Universe Atlas, which includes OpenSpace. The guide will take you though the datasets of the Digital Universe in a logical progression, and with navigation instructions and cues for turning data sets on and off.
The Grand Tour is designed to be an overview of the entire universe and is modeled after the tours in the American Museum of Natural History Hayden Planetarium. Its aim is to give one a sense of the overall landscape, from Earth to the farthest reaches of the observable universe.
Astrobiology Program Guide
Rachel Smith of the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences and Appalachian State University created a content guide for an astrobiology-themed facilitated program using OpenSpace. The guide will take you though datasets and locations in OpenSpace that can be used to explore real mission targets beyond Earth and show how our planet fits into this narrative.
Use cases and resources
This guide created for the 2019 annual conference of the Association of Science-Technology Centers shares resources and examples of OpenSpace in action at three institutions, to engage high school interns; for informal, interactive opportunities and videos; for videos for museums and teaching; and as a live, interactive presentation tool.
